Volt Technical Resources is currently recruiting Geospatial Specialists/GIS Mappers for an EXCITING and CHALLENGING OPPORTUNITY open in Orlando, FL. Our Client is a world-class provider of aviation electronic and communication solutions for the world's aircraft manufacturers and airline customers.
The ideal candidate will have experience creating digital maps and working with visual database development tools such as Terrex, Multigen Creator, Maya, Photoshop, and/or 3D Studio Max.
Job Duties:
The Geospatial Specialist will review and modify vector and raster data, digitizing from imagery, spatial analysis, and digital map production. The Geospatial Specialist is also involved in scheduling and Quality Assurance processes by serving as a liaison and between the customer and the contracted map production firms.
This is an estimated 6+ month contract position (with a possibility of extension), through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, based in Winter Park, FL. Job Requirements:
Required Skills for this GIS Mapper position include the following:Candidates must possess experience in ArcGIS 9.1 or newerExperience with Image Analysis software, such as ERDAS Imagine, ER Mapper, and/or other Imagery Processing toolsExperience in Map Projections and Coordinate Systems required
