We currently have an opportunity for a recently graduated GIS technician to join our team in Bangalore, India.
The position provides the opportunity to develop GIS and basic recording skills within the telecoms industry in the
UK, recording duct, cable and fibre network information, allocation of fibres using GIS and costing of duct routes
using a range of software packages including Microstation together with IT skills on other Windows based software.
This is an opportunity for candidates to gain valuable experience working in a large multinational company to start or further their career in GIS.

Requirements
Preferably educated to Diploma or Bachelor level in an engineering discipline . No previous experience necessary as training will be given but an academic background within electronics/telecoms is an advantage
Autocad experience desirable (Auto CAD 2008,Microstation SE, Microsoft MapPoint 2004, MS-Offices 2003)
Must have a valid passport or be in the process of obtaining one.
Fluent written and spoken business English
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the technical reviews of assets for adoption by a telecoms company in the UK, recording of telecommunication networks and connections using standard design guidelines and templates.
Allocating Telecoms Fibres on GIS against customer orders
Using GIS to carrying-out feasibility study to connect to new customer premises back to Telecoms underground network services.
Working to tight timescales and following an approved methodology will be key features of the role.

Experience of using written and spoken English within a business environment
The position is to be based in Bangalore
