Job Description
We have an IMMEDIATE opening in Jodhpur (Rajasthan ) India for the position of PROJECT GIS ANALYST - WATER RESOURCES.

Suitable professionals are required in the field of HYDROGEOMORPHOLOGY / GEOLOGY / GEOGRAPHY / HYDROLOGY / WATER RESOURCES with strengths in thematic digital cartography and GIS & image processing.PERSON SHOULD BE IN A POSITION TO JOIN WITHIN A GIVEN TIME FRAME. Responsibilities: --Produce GIS maps and graphic depictions. --Acquire, interpret, and manipulate geographic data according to project/client needs. --Job requires understanding of and experience with mapping, geographic information systems (ArcGIS, ERDAS, MapInfo, AutoCAD MAP), planning, and digital production. -- Use of High resolution satellite data for various thematic applications.- DGPS / GPS Survey capability--Field work (i.e., delineating natural features with global positioning system, if required), research, and report writing. Required Essential Skills: Hard working, result-oriented. Must have deep knowledge of geographic coordinate systems. Must be proficient with Windows operating systems, web browsers in relation to GIS and ESRI and other products.

Job Requirements
-- Master's or doctoral degree with remote sensing. -- One - two years of related experience. -- Proficiency in remote sensing, GIS/digitization & image processing (softwares: ArcGIS, ERDAS, MapInfo etc) is essential.-- Knowledge of AutoCAD essential-- Impart training to clients.-- Practical Experience and knowledge of ArcGIS & ERDAS (latest Version) a MUST. -- Capability to organize customized surveys-- Ability to handle multiple tasks, learn graphic software, troubleshoot computer difficulties, and to complete work efficiently. -- WRITE PROJECT PROPOSALS for/to various funding agencies-- Must have detailed eye for graphic production.-- Excellent communication skills.-- The position is open to all qualified INDIAN citizens without regard to race, sex, religion and color.
