Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Geography (Planning)

£30,747 to £52,347 pa
We are seeking a practitioner and/or academic, preferably with chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute, to contribute to undergraduate and new postgraduate teaching, research and continuing professional development in the field of planning. Exceptional candidates may be appointed at Reader/Professorial level. Applications are welcomed from candidates with any professional and research interest in planning, although preference may be given to those with particular interests in development management and finance, spatial planning, urban regeneration, sustainable transport and the application of Geographical Information Systems. Enthusiasm and an ability to contribute to the School's teaching and research agenda are essential.
You will contribute to the continued academic success of a discipline group that has demonstrable excellence in both research and teaching. In RAE2008, 50% of Geography outputs were graded at 3*/4*. The university hosts four Centres of Excellence in Teaching and Learning and the HEA Subject Centre in Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences.
