Senior Lecturer/Lecturer
Applicants should have a PhD in the respective disciplines and demonstrated excellence in teaching and research at the tertiary level:
* Urban Geography
* Physical Geography (Biogeography and/or Geographical Information Systems)
Reporting to the Head, Department of Geography & Geology, the successful candidates will be expected to
* To develop and deliver courses in the area of specialization;
* To teach in core courses in Geography within his or her field of expertise at the undergraduate levels;
* To take an active part in research and postgraduate supervision.
Excellent communication skills are essential, as is a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, service and technology application in the classroom. Applicants must possess a genuine interest in helping students and the ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
The successful candidates will be expected to assume duties on August 1, 2010.
