Position Description:
The Fort Hood DPW requires the Contractor to provide on-going CADD support services to the DPW Engineering Division. The CADD services provided will support the Engineering Division's drafting needs for Fort Hood DPW construction projects.

• Must have Bentley Microstation XM experience
• Using government-provided CADD software, the level of support includes, but is not limited to the following assignments:
• The CADD Technicians shall accurately and efficiently produce typical sets of drawings for construction contracting. Drawing sets typically consist of plans, elevations, sections and enlarged details. For various disciplines including but not limited to Civil, Architecture, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire.
• The CADD Technicians shall set up drawing templates for DPW Engineers to begin design work. Set up drawing templates by gathering needed archived drawings and reproducing in CADD, start from sketches, or modify existing archived CADD files as required.
• The CADD Technicians shall provide printing and plotting support to DPW Engineers on an as needed basis.
• In conjunction with the DPW Engineering POC, the Senior CADD Technician shall continue to develop 2d production drafting "system" and standards for in-house construction drawing sets through consultation with COR and DPW Engineers.
• The CADD Technicians shall remain current on latest information, CADD management and best practices on Government- provided software in order to communicate updates to DPW Engineers.
• The Senior CADD Technician shall train and support DPW Engineering Division Personnel in the latest CADD technology versions of Government- provided software, including but not limited to Building Information Modeling extensions.
• The CADD Technicians shall keep DPW Engineers updated on the status of assignments on a regular basis.
Supervision
This position does not have supervisory experience.
Minimum Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
2-5 years Computer Aided Design (CAD) experience. Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and/or experience in related field.
Proficiency in CAD systems and equipment (Rhino, Solidworks, Adobe Illustrator) as well as measuring instruments.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Computer Skills
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Must have Bentley Microstation XM experience
