The Opportunity:
Are you looking for a unique way to apply your teaching experience and GIS knowledge? Use these skills in our regional office training center where our customers receive valuable training to keep up to date on the latest ESRI technology.

Educational Services – Washington, D.C. Training

The Team:
Share your knowledge and passion for GIS with our customers around the world! As a member of our Educational Services team, you’ll have the opportunity to help our customers continue to learn about GIS and ESRI technology, whether by teaching a class in our regional offices or developing content for a Web-based course. We are seeking dynamic individuals who are subject matter experts with an education in GIS-related fields and experience with ESRI software.

Responsibilities:
Teach ESRI software courses to help customers stay on the leading edge of GIS technology.
Develop course materials and other educational tools as needed.
Stay up to date on the latest trends in GIS.
Participate in conferences and special interest group meetings.

Requirements:
Bachelors or masters in geography, GIS, computer science, physical science, engineering, information science, or related field, depending on position level.
Excellent teaching skills.
Effective people skills.
Clear understanding of GIS theory and applications.
Excellent RDBMS administration skills in Oracle and/or SQL Server.
Minimum of three years of hands-on experience administering an enterprise ArcSDE geodatabase.
Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time (may increase or decrease based on business need).

Recommended Qualifications:
Minimum of two years of hands-on experience using ArcGIS Desktop.
Experience with ArcGIS Server (Web ADF, Web APIs, and GIS service publication and administration).
Demonstrated technical writing skills.
Mentoring and coaching ability.
